It's not a credit card. It's a prepaid Gift Card.
The Golden 1 Credit Union offers a variety of gift card designs to fit any occasion including birthday, holiday and more!
You can use it like any Visa® card to purchase whatever you want at your favorite store or wherever Visa debit cards are accepted in the United States.
It's accepted throughout the United States.
Your Golden 1 Visa Gift Card is welcome at more than 25 million locations within the United States displaying the Visa symbol. You can use it to make purchases at retail stores, by phone or online.
It's easy to use.
Just present your Golden 1 Visa Gift Card at the time of purchase and the transaction amount will be automatically deducted from your card's balance. To check your available balance, click on the "Cardholder Sign-in" link.
Unlike a check, you don't have to cash it before you can spend it. You can use your Golden 1 Visa Gift Card as soon as you activate it.
Make a Gift Card purchase.
You can use any Golden 1 Visa card or MasterCard® to make a purchase. Sorry, we do not accept Visa cards or MasterCards online from other institutions; however, we will accept them if you are a Golden 1 member and purchase a Gift Card at a Golden 1 office.
You can have Gift Cards mailed directly to the gift recipient if the card value is $100 or less. Cards with values over $100 will be mailed to the purchaser.
Remember to activate and register your card.
The Golden 1 Visa Gift Card needs to be activated in order for it to work. You can activate the Gift Card on this Web site by clicking on "Activate My Card" or by calling 1-866-839-7599. You will be prompted for either a five-digit code provided to you by the Gift Card giver or a combination of your phone number and zip code.
Registering the Gift Card will link the cardholder's name and address, which is often required for online purchase validations, with the Gift Card. Having the Gift Card registered also protects the cardholder in case the Gift Card is lost or stolen. To register your card, click on "Cardholder Sign-in" and use the last six digits of the card as your initial password or the password you selected when activating your card. Select "Update Profile" and enter your information.
